I guess I didn't spend those 25 years in vain.

As a result of the Atatürk Republic and its revolutions, the Turkish woman broke free from her shackles.

With the right to vote and be elected, she entered social and economic life.

Through boarding schools, even girls in the most remote regions gained access to education.

If Turkey is among the G20 countries today, one of the most important reasons for this is the generation raised by educated mothers.

It is a good thing that we are in the G20, but I do not know why we cannot get a share of the added value created as citizens.

We have sunk deep into poverty.

We can no longer stick our heads out of the house.

They want a fortune for a soup, for a lahmacun.

They don't even offer parsley as much as they used to.

The economic pressures of recent years have severely battered the "Educated Turkish Family" structure.

The cost of living and housing problem, which even Central Bank Governor Hafize Hanım grumbled about but was later severely scolded for, has crushed the educated middle class like a steamroller.

It has completely worn them out.

The birth rate, which was 2.38 in 2001, fell to a critical rate of 1.7 in 2021, a 30 percent drop.

When the 2023 data is announced, we will all see that this rate will be 1.4.

However, when classified, we will also see that this birth rate for the Educated Middle Class is about to fall below 1.

While the educated middle class cannot even afford cheese, in an environment where owning a home is a dream, having children no longer seems very possible.

Besides the prices of daycare and private schools, the 20 thousand lira detergent-book box that private schools produce to fleece the parents in the coop is another problem.

In an environment where men and testosterone see the king of nightmares, the "Educated Middle-Class Woman" is no longer waiting for her prince charming on a white horse.

She knows she will make do with whatever she has now.

Women, in addition to fulfilling their evolutionary and traditional duties, have to meet the same performance criteria as men.

In other words, a female academic must carry the responsibility of her children's early stages, do her housework, manage her grumpy husband, fend off her devilish mother-in-law's "who is the queen" attacks, and achieve academic progress by meeting the same conditions as men.

Only creatures carrying a vicious hormone like estrogen can achieve this.

However, even estrogen can no longer withstand this pressure.

It, too, has grown weary.

While the instinct for shelter, protection, and nutrition continues relatively, the reproductive instinct has weakened.

The instinct for shelter has already become terrifying due to housing prices.

Nutrition has now become our only goal.

In the next 20 years, as the generation of the educated middle class will rapidly decrease, our country will turn into Bangladesh, which foreign investors see as a "100-dollar worker paradise."

It won't be for us, but we will become a country that is "irresistible" for imperialists.
