Cyanide Matryoshkas

In fact, Matryoshkas are innocent!

They have spread from Russian culture to the world.

Adorable Matryoshkas are wooden dolls wearing traditional Russian clothing, nested inside one another, decreasing in size from largest to smallest.   

Today, they are used as children's toys in Russia, as well as being considered souvenirs that symbolize Russia.

These characteristics also make the Matryoshka a concept used to describe phenomena that are nested within each other or emerge from one another.

To those cyanide-using gold companies that resemble this definition in a negative way, have nothing to do with adorable Matryoshkas, yet emerge from within one another, "Cyanide Matryoshkas" we said.

Just as we used the term "Cyanide Octopus" to represent all the companies that want to establish operations to extract gold found in the soil in minute, powdery particles using cyanide, wrapping around the world like the arms of an octopus, we have defined the poison-peddling companies that are the arms of this octopus as Matryoshkas, nested within one another and emerging from within each other.

The world is in trouble everywhere with these Cyanide Octopuses and their Matryoshkas that disturb peoples and devastate Nature! 

In Turkey as well! 

Among the Cyanide Matryoshkas attempting to seize our country, the most well-known one, along with its dirty history, is the company TÜPRAG, which operates the cyanide and toxic gold mines in Uşak-Eşme-Kışladağ and İzmir-Gaziemir-Efemçukuru, and which is stated to have left behind permanent toxic waste in the environment.

This company is a true Matryoshka through its past actions and the multinational corporations that have owned it.

It has constantly grown, shrunk, and changed its guise and name.

Today, it is one of the most active arms in our country of the 'Cyanide Octopus,' which wraps the world in its financial power and also engages in uranium mining, a radioactive substance.

Such companies grow larger each time in order to become richer and richer by irreparably polluting nature.

The glitter of gold blinds their eyes; they do not see nature!

As for humans, they are merely tools to be used!

A company named TÜPRAG was established in Ankara on August 1, 1986, in accordance with Turkish laws.

At that time, the primary known and visible partner of this company was a German company, PREUSSAG (Proyzak) Aktiengesellschaft. existed.

This large German metal giant, based in Frankfurt and possessing many branches, later handed over its operations in Turkey to its British branch.

Its origins are problematic, and such companies have no true homeland.

According to official documents, those days TÜPRAG's capital is 368 billion TL (1 dollar = 765 TL).

Lutz Lobusen, Kalus Rollenstrann, and Georg Lange appear as the authorized signatories for the company in Turkey.

Judging by their names, they are German citizens.

It seems that German imperialism is quite eager to get a slice of the poisonous pie in Turkey.

Like the others, the cyanide-using TÜPRAG, which arrived in our country at the invitation of the Turkish State and appears to have been established with great enthusiasm, displays aggressive behavior in Turkey.

At the foothills of Mount Ida (Kaz Dağları), in the village of Küçükdere in the Havran district of Balıkesir, it sets out to establish an operation that it would later dispose of, extracting gold while scattering poison everywhere.

Following that, it is ready to leave tons of poisoned soil in the environment in Burhaniye/İvrindi-Karadere, Çanakkale-Çan, Eskişehir-Sivrihisar-Kaymaz, and İzmir-Gaziemir-Efemçukuru.

However, in the face of the social reactions of the local people, it sells the other mines to other Matryoshkas, except for the toxic mine in İzmir-Gaziemir-Efemçukuru, which was a sweet deal for them.

These types of Matryoshkas, which shy away from facing the public, can only continue their operations with the support of various institutions from the centers of states.

PREUSSAG, which conducts its activities in Turkey through TÜPRAG, is one of Germany's largest industrial enterprises.

It is engaged in the iron and metal industry, energy and petroleum products, nuclear material trade, transportation, and shipbuilding.

It makes no secret of the fact that it collects and stores chemical waste and industrial refuse.

It boasts about its work in one of today's most profitable businesses: disposing of nuclear waste in quiet, out-of-the-way places where no one will notice.

The German DRESDNER BANK, which initially attempted to provide financing for the Ovacık Cyanide Gold Mine in Bergama and was forced to withdraw in the face of the Bergama villagers' resistance, is also among the partners of the poison-peddling PREUSSAG, the owner of the cyanide-using TÜPRAG.

On August 9, 1995, young environmentalists from Bergama held a protest in front of this DRESDNER BANK while they were collectively in Berlin.

Look at this strange situation: At a time when German Imperialism was trying to establish toxic gold mining in Turkey and generate high profits through its multinational Matryoshkas, the environmentalists in Turkey who were fighting against them were accused, prosecuted, and intimidated by the "Dark Authorities" in the country with the clamor that the Germans did not want gold to be extracted in Turkey and were trying to prevent it.

How many games this Cyanide Octopus and its Matryoshkas have!

They are very skilled and experienced in setting up games that blind the eyes and mislead societies.

This heavy metal-focused German company PREUSSAG is also present in the capital markets and becomes first a small and then a large partner of the French company METALEUROPE, which deals with similar businesses. 

METALEUROPE is also a Matryoshka with a criminal record.

Its subsidiary, COGEMA, is another company linked to the French state, and in September 1997, it was caught dumping nuclear waste into the English Channel between the UK and France.

It caused the death of masses of fish.

All of these Matryoshkas have tarnished records.

What inappropriate relationships these are, established in the name of trade and mining, and supported by states!

During this process, the French company METALEUROPE, in which the German firm PREUSSAG was a major shareholder, became the world's largest producer of lead from heavy metals and the world's second-largest producer of zinc. 

It also held significant weight in the production of metals such as germanium, indium, and cadmium.

As is known, all of these heavy metals are also found in the mining waste left behind after gold and silver are extracted in cyanide gold mining.

The poisonous Matryoshkas, which view the countries they enter as colonies and descend upon underdeveloped nations, continue to emerge from within one another!

In 1989, the German company PREUSSAG sold its shares in TÜPRAG, which it had established in 1986, to its partner, the French firm METALEUOPE.

The owner of TÜPRAG, which appeared to be a Turkish company, had changed, passing from the hands of the Germans to the French.

During this process, the aggressive arms of the Cyanide Octopus began to appear one by one in Turkey.

The poisoners are swarming our country like bears that have found honey or wasps that have found sugar!

They can also be likened to locusts that jump around from field to field (country to country), causing damage to the crops (the land and the people)!

In this environment, they are running wild in Balıkesir, Eskişehir, and İzmir.

They are frantically searching for lands to poison for a handful of gold.

Meanwhile, the strong objections of the villagers of Bergama and Havran to cyanide-based gold mines have begun to resonate globally.

The "Green Resistance" of the people of Bergama becomes famous. 

In this situation, operating these mines could be risky for the poison miners.

There is the possibility of being chased away from the places they attempt to descend upon before they can recoup their investments.

The attitude adopted by the Cyanide Octopus in such situations is to share the risk until it is reduced or eliminated.

Because they know that the public's opposition and resistance are dangerous for them!

There is also the possibility of leaving Turkey, where they came to extract gold and increase their wealth, having suffered a loss.

Capitalism does not like to lose money!

This must be the reason why In 1991, the French company METALEUROPE sold half of its shares in the Turkish company TÜPRAG to another cyanide-using company from South Africa, GENCOR.

The number of Matryoshkas emerging from within TÜPRAG is increasing.

GENCOR, one of the new bosses of TÜPRAG, is an experienced and wealthy cyanide user.

As of 1995, it had an 82-ton gold reserve under its control and mining areas with the potential to extract 128 tons of gold.

Even before starting operations, it launched an extensive promotion for the Balıkesir-Küçükdere Gold Mine worldwide, likely for prestige, under the heading "highlights".

It prides itself on finding land to exploit.

It also traces its roots back to a very old company founded in 1895 in South Africa by a German named Adolf Goertz.

In 1950 and 1957, the head of the Cyanide Octopus, the most powerful one, fell into the hands of the ANGLO AMERICAN CORPORATION (AAC), where Harry Oppenheimer served as chairman of the board.

This "AAC" company would be involved in gold mining and even the related politics all over the world, including Turkey.

It has banks, insurance companies, skyscrapers, and even political parties! 

Now, the "main boss" of the world's cyanide gold market "main boss" is on the scene. 

The hands of the Jewish-origin Oppenheimers are stained with human suffering through cyanide-leached gold.

Moreover, they are referred to as "philanthropic" because they helped the establishment of the State of Israel with the income they derived from that dirty gold.

In those days, the newspaper published in South Africa, "Johannesburg Sunday", reported on the "AAC" company's acquisition of GENCOR He describes it "as the personal success of Harry Oppenheimer." He characterizes it.

"Thanks to this holy initiative (!) of Harry, the white people of European descent who dominate South Africa but remain in the minority will be financially supported.

Many problems experienced in this country due to racial differences, and the victimization (!) of the Whites, will thus be overcome."

The racists of South Africa are looking to Harry Oppenheimer for help to further oppress the black-skinned peoples they have been crushing for centuries!

In other words, the Oppenheimer family, who would eventually become the kings of cyanide gold miners, were also at the peak of racism against black people.

Nelson Mandela, who fought against racism in South Africa for years and eventually secured freedom for the black population, must have had his ears ringing constantly during that period!

Isn't it the South Africa of the late Mandela that is putting the most pressure in the world today on the State of Israel, which is committing genocide in Palestine and Gaza, and whose founding was also assisted by the 'philanthropist' Harry Oppenheimer?

GENCOR, which came into Oppenheimer's hands and would later become the owner of TÜPRAG, extracts gold, platinum, uranium, or whatever mineral comes its way.

Gold and uranium are the favorites of such Matryoshkas.

What they leave behind are always pits filled with poison and cyanide-contaminated soil.

Their specialty is gold mining operations where cyanide is used until everything in nature is killed.

What is not forgotten are the difficult working conditions of the laborers and the deadly dangers into which the local people are dragged.

In the mid-1980s, the National Union of Mineworkers of South Africa took action to defend the rights of workers laboring under poor conditions in the mines.

Among South Africa's racist bosses, the harshest response to the workers came from GENCOR.

Oppenheimer's men clash with the workers. Many deaths and injuries occur in the mines operated by GENCOR.

This is the kind of dangerous, sinister company, capable of getting involved in all sorts of trouble, that was one of the first owners of TÜPRAG, which has begun to spread its roots across Turkish soil.

The actions of GENCOR, which took over TÜPRAG—the company that has descended upon gold mines in many parts of Turkey—in 1991, do not end there.

This GENCOR, belonging to the Oppenheimers, is also responsible for the most horrific accident that could ever occur in cyanide-leaching gold mines in South African history.

In September 1986, 177 people died at the Kinross Gold Mine. 

It is officially determined that sufficient safety measures were not taken at the mine.

Furthermore, asbestos fibers contained in the dust from mines operated by two smaller companies in which GENCOR is a partner—two other Matryoshkas—accumulate in the workers' lungs, leading to “silicosis” disease. 

This is cancer.

In August 1984, a high number of deaths were observed in the region.

TÜPRAG, which was established in 1986 by the multinational German company PREUSSAG, became METALEUROPE with French state support in 1989, and was acquired by the Oppenheimer-backed GENCOR company in 1991, turned the areas it deemed suitable in Turkey into a toxic business field, along with other cyanide users, with the protection of certain state officials within the country.

Like Russian Matryoshka dolls that emerge from within one another, these companies, which are actually the arms of a massive Cyanide Octopus, eventually produce yet another ambitious Matryoshka from within themselves.

TÜPRAG, having exhausted the mines around the Edremit Gulf in Balıkesir, sells the Kaymaz mine either to escape the resistance in Eskişehir or because it was not sufficiently profitable.

The ore at the İzmir-Efemçukuru gold mine is rich, and it has no desire to leave that site at all.

During this process, it sets its sights on the gold-bearing lands in Uşak-Eşme-Kışladağ.

It had caught the scent of 'money' and 'high profit' there as well.

In Turkey, you just let the State have a whiff of this gold, and that's all it takes!

Initially, things do not go well in either location, Uşak or İzmir.

The "Green Resistance" that Bergama put up against cyanide-leaching gold mining has given the people of Anatolia everywhere a "consciousness of protecting their environment and resisting polluters," whether the struggle is won or lost.

It means that it is possible to resist even against very powerful forces!

The slogan "Cyanide company, leave Turkey" spreads from lip to lip and ear to ear.

Across the country, with the participation of intellectuals who have realized the situation, awareness regarding such dangerous mines has become widespread.

Environmentalists and ecologists are confronting the poisoners everywhere.

The operations of these facilities are delayed.

The "judiciary" has recognized the danger and is issuing rulings against the cyanide users, but the toxic miners know how to circumvent these decisions with the help of the "State Administration."

Supposedly, if these gold mines operate, the country's economy will be saved from crises with the gold obtained!

As time passes, it becomes clear that this is a tall tale! 

Of course, there are "naive souls" and "vested interest groups" who believe this.

Yet, the country's economy is sinking deeper every day.

In the meantime, TÜPRAG changed hands once again, and the company became the property of the Canadian EL DORADO company, a cyanide-based gold and uranium miner notorious for causing environmental damage while operating mines.

This company, which took its name from the mythical South American "land of gold," El Dorado, this Matryoshka, has left no trouble unstirred, particularly in Canada.

It has forced people into labor and poisoned streams and lakes.

With its radioactive uranium mines, it has spread death and cancer everywhere!

The EL DORADO of the Cyanide Octopus is determined to operate the mines it has acquired in Turkey under the guise of TÜPRAG, by hook or by crook.

In 2006, the Uşak-Kışladağ mine, and in 2011, the İzmir Efemçukuru mine were put into operation by the TÜPRAG company.

With the power of public officials who assist them in the country, court decisions are ignored, eyes that should see the dangers become blind, and the cries of the public go unheard. 

EL DORADO is a giant Matryoshka.

Today, gold prices are rising in the global world economy.

In Turkey, which is experiencing economic problems due to the incompetence of decision-makers and the poor management of those responsible, these prices are rising even more.

In such an environment, the appetite of cyanide-using companies, which are eager to extract even the trace amounts of gold found in seawater and human blood, is growing incessantly.

Toxic gold miners are plundering everywhere.

As if this country were a colony!

They also easily find local collaborators.

The recent disaster at the Erzincan-İliç Cyanide Gold Mine clearly shows where the insistence on operating these facilities can lead:

It is evident that no lessons have yet been learned from these deaths and environmental disasters.

New destructions are appearing on the horizon!

Come, let us remember the words of the South African labor leader Barry Castelman, who resisted against the cyanide users: 

“Have we not shed enough blood on the altars of the cruel for the sake of profit?” 

Altars are places where sacrifices are made.

Where might these altars of the cruel be?

Who are these cruel ones, and who is the victim?
