The Greater Middle East Project continues on its path despite everything

Israel's attacks show no signs of slowing down. Hassan Nasrallah, one of the most important powers of the Middle East and the anti-imperialist front, has been killed. The US-UK-Israel imperialist alliance in the Middle East continues its massacres targeting the leaders of the struggle against it.

Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen... All are in the crosshairs. The Greater Middle East Project (GMEP) continues on its path... The ultimate target is Turkey...

The process of expanding political Islam, supported by the US, and dividing and fragmenting through sectarian wars is underway.

The GMEP map published in the US Armed Forces Journal in 2006 showed that the borders of 22 countries were being changed. It was widely discussed and debated. Later, it was stated that the project's name had been renewed as 'GMEAP', meaning the 'Greater Middle East and North Africa Project'. Then it was said that 'this project is no longer in effect'. However, developments show the exact opposite.

The GMEP envisions the seizure of administrations along with the changing of countries' borders, the seizure of their underground and surface resources, and their sectarian and ethnic division and fragmentation.

In 2003, Iraq was invaded, and then Saddam Hussein was executed. Subsequently, an autonomous administration collaborating with the US was established in Northern Iraq, and it was effectively divided into three as Shiite and Sunni corridors. Hundreds of thousands of people were massacred. Oil fell into the hands of the occupiers.

Afghanistan was invaded, and then the Taliban regime came to dominate the country.

In occupied Lebanon, Hezbollah, led by Nasrallah, repelled Israel with its 2006 resistance.

In 2011, a civil war was incited in Syria by provoking fundamentalist and ethnicist structures to overthrow the secular Assad regime. Instability was escalated by ISIS/Al-Qaeda. With US support, the PYD/PKK was placed in the region in northern Syria. Terrorist acts were continued in Turkey, Iraq, and Iran.

Muammar Gaddafi, the President of Libya, who was etched in memories for his great support to Turkey during the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation, was murdered by reactionary mobs. Gaddafi's Libya, which offered many opportunities to its people for free, is currently in three pieces...

Palestine has been under occupation and attack for years... There are two separate administrations in the West Bank and Gaza...

The ultimate target of imperialism is Turkey. In the middle of this ring of fire, Turkey is protected by the secular unitary state structure founded by Atatürk. Unfortunately, in most Middle Eastern countries, ethnic, sectarian, and feudal powers are the owners of the state apparatus. There is no nation-based common structure. It is said that "forty patches are held together by one thread in the Middle East." In today's picture, Turkey is the power that holds the pieces together and unites them. However, as long as it maintains Atatürk's "Peace at home, peace in the world" and region-centered foreign policy... As long as it pursues a rational political line based on mutual interest for the benefit of the country and oppressed nations, without getting caught up in adventures, daily thoughts, and ideological obsessions, and without interfering in anyone's internal affairs...

WHY ARE THEY REJOICING OVER NASRALLAH'S KILLING?

Those who rejoice at the death of Hassan Nasrallah, who dedicated his life to the struggle against imperialism and resisted occupation, solely for sectarian reasons, should examine the GMEP map once again. If Syria and Lebanon, which Israel and the US have waged war against, have not fallen to this day, and if Palestine has resisted, the anti-imperialist resistance led by Nasrallah has had a major impact on this.

Again, making assessments by ignoring imperialism and without taking into account the internal dynamics and conditions of the countries does not yield healthy results. I believe it would be useful to consider these when commenting on Lebanon and Nasrallah as well.
