The poison that makes the lion strangled by the cat: Nepotism

In a society with a compromised immune system, the cause of the wound is not inflammation, but discrimination.

A disease of "you are one of us" through a social blood test...

Some wounds heal slowly. In others, the 'closeness' of the cells accumulated around the wound before it scabs over is striking. This closeness sometimes accelerates healing. But sometimes… The immune system itself makes a faulty decision: It targets not the false one, but the “healthy” one. That is when, even if the wound is not infected, cytokine storms blow through the system. The microbiologist is bewildered, the technician is brazen, and the system sacrifices the lion—the victim who would provide the correct diagnosis—to the cat. As for distorted lies, even if they are as hollow as a grilled cheese sandwich, when it comes to three-penny opportunism that fills the belly, brain drain goes to the lands where the authentic exists. Because while the essence of science is to seek the truth, there is no place for false interests, and there should not be.

In medical language, we call a false immune response an “autoimmune response.” That is, the body mistakes its own healthy cell for an enemy. It calls the veteran and qualified one a lion and embraces them “emotionally,” but declares the cancerous cell, the rotten apple of the system, as “one of its own.” Actually, the immune system is not malicious; it has just trusted its own environment too much to realize it is being manipulated.

I do not know if this is a health article or a social diagnosis. But these lines are a search for a cure for a systemic disease born from the favoritism of cell toward cell.

INVISIBLE PASSAGES BETWEEN VEINS

It is difficult to establish intravenous access for some people. For those without visible veins, it takes time to enter their vein. But there are some veins that are invisible yet always open. Let us call them “backdoor” veins. Privileged passages. An invisible circulatory system that extends from the inside to the inside. It does not work with wrists and labor, but with kneeling and tears. Some doctors cannot find a vein, while others find their “man on the inside.”

This is how nepotism works, not through blood ties, but through these types of circulatory systems. And this circulatory system now carries not just blood, but justice: An ethical ischemic area is formed that is pumped only among certain groups, while others are left “peripheral.”

And no one calls this a disease. Yet, this is now a systemic autoimmune problem.

THE CELL'S MEMORY AND THE NAMES IT DOES NOT REMEMBER

There is a term in medicine: “Memory cells.” Once these cells recognize a threat, they never forget it. They protect the familiar, treat disposable heroes like trash, and react immediately. But what if the system is limited only to “what it knows”? What if the memory cell “ignores what it does not know”? The winds of fate blow in place of science and deontology.

Nepotism now works not just according to names, but according to a sense of familiarity—faces, tones of voice, hometowns, friendships, even the latte drunk from the same coffee chain. Just like the body rejecting a tissue that “does not belong to it,” the nepotistic system excludes the “healthy” one.

I know this exclusion very well, from the times I remained a stranger to FETÖ. As if this disease of favoritism were unique only to those demons. Don't we encounter those who sell out their true homeland and professional friends for a three-penny rent after FETÖ? I wish it were so. Is justice with its eyes bandaged always impartial, or is it blind to the truth? This is no longer called tissue incompatibility; this is system incompatibility. The HLA codes of labor do not match the system. And this system creates a type of social chronic fatigue syndrome to which no one can develop immunity.

RELATIONSHIPS WITH NO LABORATORY VALUE

In health systems, some tests are considered “insignificant.” Even if the value is within the reference range, it does not represent the patient. Some relationships are like that too. They look strong, but they actually have no clinical significance. Yet, you always encounter these relationships.

This psychosocial immune system, which works with sentences like “My buddy, we’ll handle it,” “I wrote your name down, you don’t know the multiplication table, but even if you don’t have respect for the doctor, it’s fine, just have your man, not your merit, my lion,” “he’s our guy, even if he’s a clown, we’ll make him king at the workplace,” renders merit antibodies ineffective. It is not communication between cells, but the question ‘are we connected?’ that opens the cell membrane. Yet, true health works not with connection, but with balance.

I call every cell that disrupts this balance “cancerous.” Because they multiply within us, they recognize each other, and they send signals only to each other.

THE GENETICS OF INTEREST: EPIGENETIC BETRAYAL

There is one thing we have learned in modern medicine: Genetics is not destiny, epigenetics is a choice. The switching on and off of a gene happens through environmental influences. Nepotism is a type of epigenetic degradation. Equality is written in the genetic code, but when the system is exposed to self-interest, that gene is silenced.

No one is born “privileged.” But the environment is set up in such a way that some cells grow by stepping on others. This is not the fault of the cell, but of the environment.

And unfortunately, even health systems are not resistant to this environment. Academia, hospitals, advisory boards, scientific committees… Each is a separate example of immune incompetence.

IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS, MORE HUMANITY DIES THAN THE HUMAN BODY

Today, we are fighting not against a disease, but against a mentality. We do not need antibiotics, we need ethicbiotics. The flora of merit has been disrupted. There is no balance, no transparency, no common sense.

I know, this article is not a diagnosis, perhaps it is a rebellion. But every rebellion is a bit of a diagnosis. Because an unnamed ailment kills people the most. As I write this, perhaps one more will be noticed. Perhaps someone will say, “Yes, we didn’t listen to this man with rapt attention and cast him out of the system just for the sake of some snotty-nosed, teary-eyed slum-smart aleck.” Perhaps…

Perhaps this article is a call for the transformation of the immune system.

Because cells should work together not because they are familiar, but because they do the right job.

Otherwise, we will not treat this disease, we will carry it.
