Millions of Turks in front of their screens began to melt like vampires seeing the sun.

Oh my God, the worst thing in the world had happened; a pair of breasts was bouncing on state television.

The whole country grabbed their phones in a panic. Some were calling TRT, scolding them by saying, "What are you doing, brother?" Others were fueling the fire on social media and cursing.

What was going to happen now? The thing we fear most, women's breasts, had been shoved into the public's eyes on TRT screens.

In a live broadcast, the nation's morality had been razed to the ground.

The situation for TRT executives was even more dire. Their panic was indescribable…

They could be dismissed at any moment. After all, a pair of women's breasts had been turned toward the Turkish Nation, and morality had collapsed.

They immediately apologized to the great Turkish nation.

It sounds like a joke, but TRT issued an official statement apologizing to the Turkish Nation for reflecting an image of breasts on the screen…

One should be ashamed of these things, not of breasts; morality collapses because of these, not because of breasts.

We have gone down in world history.

A state institution issued an official statement apologizing to the nation because it broadcast an image of breasts bouncing on the screen, for heaven's sake…

You know, when they asked the camel, "Which part of you is straight?" and it started to cry… Ours is the same story. The uproar caused by a pair of breasts and the absurdity that followed overshadowed the shame of our girls having to fly to the USA hunched over for 13 hours.

The reason why our girls were mistreated is actually so clear and obvious…

Of course, our girls, who represent Turkish women on the court and who, after their successes, made the statement, "We do not want to be called the Sultans of the Net, but the daughters of Atatürk," and who are not the kind of women they want with their lifestyles, were going to be punished.

And when an image of breasts was added on top of it, the bigots rose up. Didn't women playing in shorts in this sport already corrupt our morals? Now the stands have been added to this immorality…

If they had worn tracksuits instead of shorts, taken the court with headscarves on, and had photos taken while visiting three or five fake sheikhs to pray before the match, would it have been like this?

Or if they had joined religious sects like footballers, if every other word they said was 'inshallah' or 'mashallah,' and if they had put one hand on their hearts and pointed to the sky with the index finger of their other hand after every point they scored, they would have been allocated even the planes sitting in the hangar, let alone flying business class…

But our girls chose not to be servants of the order, but to represent the real Turkish woman.

Even if they flew for 23 hours, not 13, sitting cross-legged, they would still make us proud. Because they are the grandchildren of Nene Hatun, Kara Fatma, and Halide Edip… Fighting against difficulties and not giving up is in their DNA.
