But they aren't buying it...

Ah, these foreign powers, these foreign powers...

They've taken the stage again!

They are doing everything they can to smear our country, where everything is supposedly rosy.

There are only 3-4 months left until winter ends, and the tourism season will open.

They've started with the slanders...

The United Kingdom Government has issued a warning notice to its citizens planning to travel to Turkey on the state's official website, GOV.UK.

In addition to current information regarding crime statistics in Turkey for 2023, it has warned its citizens about incidents that tourists visiting Turkey might encounter.

You might ask, on what basis did the British government make this warning?

In 2023, 42 cases of sexual assault, including harassment, were reported to British consular staff in Turkey!

According to the report, most of these sexual assault cases occurred in coastal tourist areas during summer holidays.

Many of these attacks were carried out at night by someone the victim had met during the day, including hotel staff.

Even more gravely, the report also warns that there have been sexual assaults against minors going to the restroom alone, and therefore, one must be very careful!

This warning, issued on the state's official website, makes our skin crawl as we read it. How must a British person planning to come to our country for a holiday be affected by this report?

The warnings on the state's official site are not limited to sexual assaults. The site also issues warnings about pickpocketing in Turkey.

Is that all? Of course not!

While drawing attention to the increase in food and beverage prices, a warning was also issued that bills might be inflated. What an image...

GOV.UK also warned that counterfeit alcohol has caused the deaths of tourists.

One's nerves get frayed as they read. Sexual harassment, pickpocketing, fraud, counterfeit alcohol...

Just when you think it's over, the warnings continue.

The statement is exactly as follows: “If Britons are planning to visit Turkey, they should be aware of other risk factors, including terrorism.”

Yeah, that completes it. On top of all the negatives listed above, the threat of terrorism has been added.

Despite everything, the British government gives one final warning to its citizens considering going to Turkey: “There is a high threat of terrorist attack globally affecting UK interests and British nationals. You should be vigilant at all times.”

Would a British person who reads all these warnings go to Turkey for a holiday?

Yet, in 2023, the UK was the third country sending the most visitors to Turkey. Exactly 3 million 800 thousand British people had visited Turkey.

The British, who had long been turning towards Spain and Greece, had started to shift their route to Turkey last year as the pound gained excessive value against the Turkish Lira.

So, after these warnings, wouldn't you change your holiday destination?

As I said, these are all games played by foreign powers, otherwise none of the negatives listed above are actually happening, right?

If you believe it...
