We're in big trouble!

Between Afghans, Syrians, and Africans, Turkey has become a lifeline for everyone fleeing every war and planning a new life. And it's not just them; wanted criminals, mafia bosses, and terrorists from their own countries are all coming to the country, saying "Turkey, here I come," and walking right in without a care in the world.

Now, to top it all off, the crisis and the threat of war that have erupted in the Middle East are going to blow up in our faces, aren't they?

Israel's launch of an attack on Lebanon following Gaza has triggered a new wave of migration toward Turkey in the Middle East. It has emerged that tickets for all flights from Beirut to Istanbul on Lebanon's national airline, Middle East Airlines, have sold out. The airports are packed!

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Lebanese authorities have decided to allow citizens who do not have passports to leave the country. So, where are these passport-less citizens going?

I was just writing this down when the news hit the wires that Iran had launched a missile attack on Israel...

What will happen when Israel retaliates? Citizens fleeing the war who do not want to stay in Iran will also set out. And they surely won't be thinking of going to Papua New Guinea when Turkey is right next door...

Migration policy must be urgently put on the table by a sensible commission. Perhaps a commission that includes politicians, military officials, sociologists, psychologists, and historians...

Our doors are so wide open that we are practically being subjected to an immigrant invasion. If it continues at this speed, it is truly inevitable that we will end up as a minority in our own country.

What is Europe doing? It is using Turkey as a buffer so that immigrants do not disrupt its demographic structure. They push money under the guise of aid, ensuring that people likely to migrate stay away from their countries and remain in Turkey.

You know how we get angry, saying, "Why is healthcare free for Syrians but not for us?" or "Why is aid given to immigrants and not to us?" Well, that aid isn't because the state cares more about the immigrant than you, but because a portion of the aid received must be spent on these needs...

The other day, the IYI Party filed a lawsuit with the Council of State to cancel the procedures for granting Turkish citizenship to 238,768 Syrian nationals and other foreign nationals through the acquisition of real estate.

Stating that Turkish citizenship cannot be distributed as a freebie, IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu said, "We will never allow Turkey to become a refugee camp."

But aren't we all a bit too late? I mean, the horse has already bolted. It has even settled down in Üsküdar. It will be the neighborhood headman soon.

The figure announced by the IYI Party is only the list of those who invested and received citizenship. Even official authorities do not know the number of those who received citizenship without investing or who have residency in the country!

Is there anyone who can predict what percentage of the population in Turkey will be of original Turkish descent in 50 years?

We must either take urgent measures or start learning Arabic! We used to complain, "We can't read our ancestors' tombstones," but now we don't even understand what is written on the signs of the shops!
