Do not fear the patriotic children of Mustafa Kemal

The Ministry of National Defense dismissed five lieutenants and three of their superiors from the army, stating: “In our Turkish Armed Forces, where the priority is the preservation and maintenance of established discipline, there should not be the slightest doubt that no action, incident, or situation contrary to discipline will be tolerated.”

Their crime was crossing their swords and saying, "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" at the Military Academy graduation ceremony on August 30th!

One must ask the Ministry of National Defense: If it weren't for Mustafa Kemal, would such an institution exist, and would you be sitting in those seats? A pretext of 'lack of discipline' was found, but everyone knows what the real reason is.

In a statement from the lieutenants' lawyers, it is said: “There was no disobedience to any order during the official ceremony. The official ceremony was conducted in accordance with the ceremony program. Our lieutenants' action took place after the official ceremony had ended, and no orders were given after the ceremony. In this case, it is clear that there is no situation such as disobedience to orders.”

But there is something we are overlooking! This punishment was handed down because of social media trolls, pseudo-journalists, and agitators who are enemies of Atatürk.

If it were about a lack of discipline, retired Rear Admiral Mehmet Sarı, who wore a robe and turban over his military uniform, would not have been awarded compensation on the grounds that he was a victim.

In the army founded by Atatürk, an oath of loyalty to Atatürk is considered a lack of discipline, but wearing a robe and turban over a uniform is not. The one with the turban was retired. These young people were stripped of their profession.

These young people, who have been training to become soldiers until today, will now join the caravan of unemployed university graduates. They played with the lives of five young people. Are these children supposed to start life over from scratch now?

It was also stated that the Acting Regimental Commander Colonel Alper Topsakal, Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Halit Türkoğlu, and Company Commander Major Murat Öztürk, who did not express a "negative" opinion about the lieutenants, have also had their ties to the Turkish Armed Forces severed.

We have seen what happens when the army consists of soldiers of charlatan religious figures rather than Mustafa Kemal. Therefore, do not fear the patriotic children of Mustafa Kemal…
