Do you know when the public says goodbye to a politician?

The moment they feel that the politician they voted for is no longer one of them.

If they see the luxurious life of the deputy they voted for while they themselves are hungry...

When they see that the deputy they viewed as one of their own, whom they called "one of us," has forgotten the people's hardships and is living in opulence, they say goodbye...

Wasn't this the biggest argument of the AKP and its voters? It was a party that emerged from the people.

Let's go back a little; didn't the AKP voter say, "The party that emerged from within us, which you pushed aside and mocked as the 'belly-scratching man'"?

Weren't they the voice of the voiceless?

Hadn't they taken the marginalized segments of the public, the peasants, the workers, and the poor behind them?

So what happened now that everything has turned upside down?

Luxury, opulence, exaggeration, and waste have started to become synonymous with the AKP. And it has become fashionable to do this by rubbing it in the public's face.

Let's not go too far back. I won't talk about the yachts, the mansions, the extravagant weddings, or the flashy offices. Let's just look at what happened in the last three or four days, that's enough!

First, the lobster crisis broke out.

And then, the wristwatch...

AKP İzmir Deputy Şebnem Bursalı went to Monaco during the holiday break. She is wealthy from her family, things have gone well for her; there is no problem here, everyone is free to vacation where they can afford.

She could go to space for a vacation if she wanted. It concerns no one.

However, while the nation is struggling with economic difficulties, a deputy of the people sharing the lobster she ate at the Monaco Yacht Club on her social media account is perceived as mocking the people who are trying to put bread on their tables.

Even from her own party, there was a reaction to the lady.

AKP MKYK member Mücahit Birinci reacted to Bursalı, writing: "While our nation is in economic distress, while the people are looking for solutions, and while our state is working tooth and nail to fix the economy, you cannot go and eat LOBSTER in Monaco; and even if you did, you cannot share it! 'Get out of our party, brother,' the issue is that simple."

Just as these things were being discussed, AKP Deputy Group Chairman Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu took and shared a selfie with those who came to visit him in Parliament.

He didn't realize at first that his 16,800 Euro (562 thousand lira) Rolex watch was visible, so he shared the photo and then deleted it.

Since he deleted it, he must have realized that it wasn't right; otherwise, would he have deleted it?

Every administrator, every party that becomes disconnected from the public pays a heavy price for it.

In short; if you show the public your 562 thousand lira Rolex watch while looking them in the eye, the public won't just wave goodbye to you, they will remind you of that wristwatch!
