If you pin your hopes on a charlatan, you'll end up eating horse meat and walking around in patched-up trousers...

It has become routine now; the ministry constantly publishes lists of adulterated food products. Nothing we eat or drink is real. 

Though, we don't even have the purchasing power to afford the fake food we buy anyway… 

The economy has hit rock bottom. Walking the streets safely has become a dream. Health scandals never end. There is a gang in this country that even harms babies… 

There is a saying: “A stick dirty at both ends.” By God, the entire stick is filthy; there is nowhere to hold it. But of course, there is a reason for all of this.

The only reason the country has been dragged into such a quagmire is the religious merchants and religious brokers. If you turn away from positive science, you will end up eating horse meat and walking around in patched-up trousers. The departure from positive science actually began many, many years ago. 

When I was a young journalist, I observed big-name politicians and businesspeople queuing up at the doors of mediums. Politicians had consultants who were, quite literally, charlatans. 

Artists and footballers would sleep on the doorsteps of the Memişes and the Ketos. Then, over time, we observed larger cult structures infiltrating all units of the country. Cults determine the country's political power, famous journalists chase after them, and opposition leaders strive not to be deprived of the power of these cults. 

The situation of the ordinary public is even more dire. I don't know if you remember, but a few years ago in Bursa, a cult sheikh was detained for 'badelemek' his disciples. By 'badelemek', I mean he was literally making his disciples perform oral sex on him. 

In the court records, a man who claimed he raided the dervish lodge to save his wife from the cult begged the judge: “You are making a mistake. I was going to shoot this venerable person. But when I got to know him, I reached enlightenment. I experienced that my sheikh's knowledge manifests in this way. He is a sublime person, let him go…” he had said!

In other words, the sheikh had 'badelemek' all his disciples, men and women alike. Whatever power of persuasion he had, or however ignorant these men were, even the man who came to save his wife… Good heavens!..

A large part of the public is accustomed to chasing after superstitions. Our child doesn't study, so we pin our hopes on blessed rice while they take an exam. We wrap wire around Telli Baba so our work goes smoothly. We have things written on our bellies so we can have children. 

It is the year 2024, and we are still chasing after these clowns. Despite hearing about the scandals of these fake 'hodjas' every day, we continue to pin our hopes on the unseen. 

Just yesterday, it was revealed that at a dormitory belonging to the Suffe Association, which is affiliated with the İsmailağa cult in Sincan, Ankara, 20 children receiving religious education were repeatedly beaten by their instructors.

Child abuse, fraud… Which one should we count? Do you know what the tragic part is?

In the Narin Güran murder, which made all of Turkey's skin crawl, it was revealed that the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) went to a 'charlatan' to find Narin Güran's location during the period she was missing. On the second day of Narin's disappearance, two JASAT officers, a village headman, and a head of village guards went to a charlatan! The incident was also reflected in the case files.

So, as you can see, if you still chase after charlatans, cult sheikhs, and mediums in this day and age, you shouldn't complain about what happens to you. 

If you act with this much ignorance and remain far from modern civilization, you will be deceived. If you remain far from science, you will eat horse meat and pork alike… If you surrender yourself not to modernity but to backwardness, there will be no justice, nor will there be money in your pocket… You won't be able to trust your doctors or your economists either…

So that you would not be subjected to all of this, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk closed the dervish lodges and convents, showed science as a light, and paved a path for us to live like human beings. These fraudsters hate Atatürk and try to make people forget him so they can 'badelemek' us, poison us with fake food, ride in luxury vehicles and live a flashy life under the guise of showing the way, and profit by turning away from science. 

If you don't want to be 'badelemek', you have no other path than the one Atatürk paved…
