The common trait of those who attack Atatürk is that they belong in an asylum!

Yesterday in Ayvalık, Balıkesir, another person who did not know what they were doing took a sledgehammer and attacked an Atatürk statue. In the footage that went viral on social media, it was seen that citizens in Ayvalık intervened against the attacker with chairs and sticks.

After the law enforcement officers intervened in the incident and so on, the statement that surprised none of us came from the governor's office.

The governor's office, which made a statement regarding the incident, announced that the person who attacked the Atatürk statue had been receiving psychological treatment for a long time.

For some reason, after every attack on this and similar Atatürk statues and busts, it turns out that those who carry out these attacks have been receiving treatment due to psychological problems.

Let's give a few examples of recent attacks…

On September 10, the person who tried to damage an Atatürk statue in the Pınarhisar district of Kırklareli was taken under treatment at the Psychiatry Department of Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital. In the statement made by the governor's office, the information was given that, "In the initial investigation, it was understood that the person named C.B. has a psychiatric disorder and has been receiving inpatient treatment from time to time in hospitals in different provinces since 2015, and the necessary proceedings have been initiated against the person."

On July 14, another person in the city center of Elazığ attacked an Atatürk statue with a stone in their hand. According to the statement made by the governor's office, it was announced that "The person, who was learned to have psychological problems, has been taken into custody."

On July 18, it was claimed that the person who attacked an Atatürk statue with a sledgehammer in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon was not of sound mind…

The examples above are some of the attack cases that have occurred recently. When we examine further back, it was announced or claimed that most of those who attacked Atatürk busts had psychological problems. In many of them, their lawyers even made a defense that they had psychological problems!

In this case, everyone who attacks an Atatürk statue is either psychologically ill or faking madness!

But if we examine the matter by using a little more logic, a completely different picture emerges.

Aristotle, who is considered one of the most important philosophers in the history of thought, is known for his emphasis on deduction among reasoning methods. Because valid reasoning that yields definitive results can be done with deduction. That is, for correct reasoning, concepts are first created, then propositions are established, and finally, inferences are made from these propositions.

Let's try one…

Those who take an axe or sledgehammer and attack an Atatürk statue are experiencing psychological problems. There are also those who attack Atatürk, if not with a sledgehammer, then on social media, in places of worship, on television, and in their writings.

It means that everyone who attacks Atatürk has psychological problems!

We don't have to be a philosopher like Aristotle to make an inference from this proposition. If Atatürk could not please these lunatics even with his revolutions, the factories he established, the right to vote and be elected he gave to women, and by preventing our names from being Dimitri, George, Salvatore, or John, while also winning a victory in a war fought against the whole world for the founder of a country, then it is not really expected that enemies of Atatürk would be healthy, is it?

There are also some cunning individuals who are enemies of Atatürk. These are more dangerous than the madmen… I don't know if these individuals, who especially make social media their home, have broken psychologies, but they are tricksters who try to make money through compensation lawsuits after upsetting the nation's nerves and getting them to insult them.

Our expectation is to see these frauds, who have tens of thousands of followers and attack Atatürk at every opportunity, also being caught and trying to get away with their crimes with reports stating they have psychological problems.

Just as they fake homosexual reports to avoid military service, when their true colors are revealed, they will either fake madness or it will be proven that they are truly deranged enough to attack Atatürk…
