The response to national mourning is indecency!

Last night, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray were set to face off for the Super Cup in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. However, both of our distinguished clubs withdrew from the match.

The sharia-minded mentality of Saudi Arabia could not even tolerate the silhouette of Atatürk, who built the secular structure of modern Turkey, or his words regarding peace.

First of all, both clubs, which are often confronted with claims that "Atatürk would have supported our team," can be certain that Atatürk is now a supporter of both clubs...

It must be noted that all of Turkey is giving a standing ovation to Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray following this stance. It has even reached the point where the fan groups of these eternal rivals have mobilized to welcome the opposing team at the airport. This is perhaps a first...

Atatürk's love achieved this, too.

We must thank the TFF here. For giving us the opportunity to show how to be of one heart against all enemies of Atatürk after their decision to hold the Super Cup Final in Saudi Arabia in the 100th anniversary year!

Irony aside, both clubs had been opposing the match being played in Riyadh for months. The TFF stubbornly chose the Saudis.

Now they will have to face the consequences. The mentality that, even during the crisis before the match, kept negotiating with the clubs by saying "There is no problem, the match will be played" and put Atatürk on the bargaining table should resign, not just its president, but all its employees down to the tea server...

Isn't it interesting that after all these developments, while a huge reaction had formed in society, there was no reaction from the government after midnight, other than Ömer Çelik's social media post: "Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is our country's founding leader and common value. We thank all our citizens who show sensitivity regarding Atatürk."?

We are a country where all politicians normally react instantly even to TV series. It is heartbreaking to remain silent in an incident where even a diplomatic note could have been issued to Saudi Arabia.

The country of the king, for whom we declared national mourning and lowered the 'Turkish Flag'—dyed with the blood of martyrs—to half-mast when he died, stations police at the door of the locker room so that Atatürk t-shirts cannot be worn, and no one but the citizens speaks up!

If you give more value than necessary to the Bedouin, they will dare to disrespect the founder of the Republic of Turkey.

The presidents of both clubs must also be congratulated. Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have shown the principled stance that the TFF could not.

Let's see if all the politicians who were silent last night, those who emphasize being local and national, those who pose as nationalists or Turkists, and those who talk about national values will say a word today?

Let them not speak, let them not show reaction, let them even pay the compensation the Saudis want because the match was not played.

But let everyone know well that you cannot destroy Atatürk by staying silent, ignoring, not reacting, disrespecting, or even insulting him; the love for Atatürk is like a silent scream.

Even in Riyadh, it strikes the faces of his enemies like a slap when necessary...

For example, you tough guys who attack Ebrar Karakurt, I wish you were as brave as her. She sent a message from Russia: "Come and play in Russia... I will cover everything related to the flags, the National Anthem, and Atatürk," she said.

There is still no sound from the crowd posing as nationalists.

You should be honored;

By Ebrar... By a brave Turkish woman like Ebrar...

By the yellow-red, yellow-navy blue passion...

By the people of Samsun who said, "We have turned on our lights and are waiting"...

By Beşiktaş, who invited them to play the final in Atatürk's district...

By the burgundy-blue hearts who gave the first reaction...

By Atatürk's children...

The cup no longer has any value. This match should not be played. Let "Winner" be written in the records of both teams.

Neither Fenerbahçe nor Galatasaray needs another cup in their museum.

But we needed this stance.

There is now a special place in our hearts for both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.

We are proud of you...
