To be human!...

You don't need to try too hard to be a good person!

In this day and age, just being ‘human’ is enough…

Possessing human virtues is now a badge of honor for the Homo Sapiens species.

Because we are experiencing things where all kinds of absurdities, which wouldn't even happen in the wild and would never even cross the devil's mind, are considered permissible. 

And when there is a reaction, there is an attempt to legitimize these actions by hiding behind excuses like “But I am a mother, I am a father” or other guises to create a sense of victimhood.

Last week, we experienced an event that defies reason. 

Those living in Istanbul know. Kemerburgaz has recently become the new neighborhood of the elite and the wealthy nouveau riche because it is outside the city and is a green area. 

Villas, expensive restaurants, you name it, they have it. 

Moreover, they have built such a living space for themselves that they run wild. (This part of the matter is a subject for an article in itself)

16-year-old adolescents race with their fathers' luxury cars, and even if you complain five hundred times, no one takes any precautions. 

And so, one of these 16-year-old adolescents killed a young man, a 29-year-old father of one, who was forced to stop on the emergency lane. 

And he did it with the luxury car of his famous plastic surgeon father…

The 16-year-old, unlicensed and intoxicated youth, who plowed into 5 people waiting on the side of the road, tore a father away from his child… 

Then what happened?

The mother of the unlicensed adolescent, a famous writer of the elite, jumped into her car, came, and whisked her son away from the scene. They flew first to Egypt and then to the USA.

Yesterday, the lawyer for Oğuz Murat Acı, who lost his life in the accident, made statements that defy belief…

Lawyer Hacı Orhan announced that after the incident, the 16-year-old driver who caused the accident was assisted not only by his mother but also by his father's employees. 

The allegations are so grave that the writer mother, who gives life coaching and lessons on humanity to the public, even stole the mobile phones of the injured so that they wouldn't call anyone!

Lawyer Orhan stated that one of the eyewitnesses spoke to Oğuz Murat Acı, who lost his life, and reported that when he arrived at the scene, he was still alive, they waited for help for about half an hour, and he tried to keep Oğuz alive.

For God's sake, if such evil were portrayed in a TV series, wouldn't we as a nation curse that character?

What kind of humanity is this?

How did you manage to be evil enough to tear a young father, who might have held onto life if intervened in time, away from his child and then make the statement, “I whisked my son away with maternal instinct. Empathize”?

Who is the real killer in this incident? 

The one who did what we listed above, or the one who gave the child the car he used as a weapon?

When you gave that car to your child, while he was drinking alcohol and racing with his friends, had you forgotten your motherhood?

Is the mother of the 1.5-year-old child who will now have to be raised alone, while the young man he hit was dying, not a mother in your eyes?

Is the person who stole the phones to prevent help from reaching the injured in order to save her son the mother? Or is it the one who will now have to raise her child without a father?

As the questions multiply, our nerves fray even more. 

A red notice must be issued urgently in Turkey, not just so that justice is served, but to set an example for influential mothers who might act on instinct…

I don't know the course of the investigation, but if the allegations are true, the maximum penalty should be given… If not, they will be cleared anyway! 

But we live in a world where someone will emerge to try to pay off the grieving family, and someone else will find mitigating circumstances…

Perhaps a publication ban will even be placed on the news…

They might even file a lawsuit against us journalists for defamation because we brought these issues to the agenda!.. 

But for the conscience of society to be relieved, this move must be made immediately.  

Before the incident cools down, before people forget, turn their backs, and move on to new agendas…

Otherwise, none of us will be able to convince that poor child, left an orphan at 1.5 years old, that we are ‘human’!
