A 'Turkish-style' artificial intelligence is coming

After everything else became 'domestic and national,' now artificial intelligence is also becoming domestic and national!

Yusuf Tancan, Acting Head of the Presidential Digital Transformation Office, stated that they aim to create a reliable and responsible artificial intelligence ecosystem. Tancan announced that both citizens' rights would be protected against potential violations and risks, and that a foundation would be laid for the development of domestic and national artificial intelligence technologies.

We last planned a 'Domestic and National' education system. It suddenly turned into a religious education system. Educators and unions protested the situation, saying the system would revert to madrasa-style education.

Although, when the President of Religious Affairs said, "we must invest in artificial intelligence," we should have guessed things would come to this.

Tancan said, "It is possible for artificial intelligence to make decisions that are unforeseen in some situations."

What should we foresee in advance, for example? China's new AI bot, DeepSeek, is being criticized for providing answers according to China's policies. For instance, it was criticized for answering questions about Taiwan only in the way the Chinese state wants.

Tancan explained, "The artificial intelligence model used may be inadequate, or the data used to train the model may be biased or incorrect; algorithms may be repeating the prejudices in the data they were trained on, or they may have been subjected to an attack known as data poisoning through external interference."

For example, what will the criteria for our domestic and national artificial intelligence be? Will it be a devout Muslim artificial intelligence? Will it be an AKP-supporter bot? Will it give partisan answers to events? How will we construct its algorithm?

For example, when asked a question about alcohol, will it start its answer by saying, "First of all, it is a sin"?

Or will it provide information about the bigots who attack lovers holding hands on the bus? What will its political opinion be? Will this be interfered with?

According to whom will it interpret historical events? According to the TV series 'Payitaht'? According to 'Diriliş Ertuğrul', or according to historians? Because today, our youth are learning our history based on the scripts in TV series!

The initiative is good, but if artificial intelligence ends up like us in incompetent hands, it will become a nuisance to us in two days, mark my words…

THE BRITISH DON'T UNDERSTAND POLITICS!

The UK Health Minister and several MPs from the UK Labour Party have been dismissed.

Health Minister Andrew Gwynne was dismissed after a series of sexist and racist messages he sent to a WhatsApp group called 'Trigger Me Timbers,' which included Labour councilors, party officials, and at least a few other MPs, appeared in the press.

According to the allegations, the minister used anti-Semitic expressions and, while making a "joke" about a retired voter, expressed hope that they would die before the next election. Gwynne was suspended by the Labour Party after the allegations surfaced.

There were also resignations following the conversations. These British people really don't know politics.

Does one resign because of a couple of messages? What is this business of resigning even when there are cases of negligence and scandals resulting in the deaths of dozens of citizens? They should definitely receive training in some more advanced countries for an internship.

Politics is a platform for service, not for resigning!
