Yesterday, there was an incredible piece of news in the newspapers regarding artificial intelligence.
“New research suggests that artificial intelligence can perceive thoughts and intentions.”
The report mentioned that artificial intelligence algorithms, which analyze brain waves and extract meaningful information from them, form the basis of the thought-reading process.
This development, which seems frightening to many, could actually be a savior for our nation.
Reading our thoughts is very important because a trend has started recently. We never say exactly what it is that we are doing.
We always find other expressions that soften or even dilute the matter. In this way, we hide our true intentions…
For example, in the 17-article legislative proposal submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) regarding stray animals, the clause on putting animals to sleep, which has occupied public opinion for months, was hidden behind the word 'Euthanasia'. With this little play on words, they want to put us to sleep as well.
The dictionary definition of euthanasia means “good death”. In medical literature, it is defined as any activity aimed at shortening or ending the life of a patient whose recovery is not considered possible, upon the request or permission of the patient or their relatives.
It seems euthanasia will be applied to stray animals that are decided to be put to sleep!
How will this euthanasia happen? Will you get the animal's consent? Or will you perform euthanasia by asking the other animals on the street, that is, their relatives?
Why are you deceiving the public? Will you make the massacre you are about to commit look cuter by calling it euthanasia after receiving backlash for saying 'putting to sleep'?
Not a price hike but an update, not putting to sleep but euthanasia, not waste but prestige…
Every absurd thing we do is attempted to be covered up with another word to make it look cuter, to soften it, and to reduce the reaction.
Now, does massacre, putting to sleep, or putting to sleep by injecting poison look cute when it is called euthanasia?
That is exactly why it is important for artificial intelligence to read our thoughts… If intentions and thoughts can be read thanks to artificial intelligence, no one can deceive anyone with word games! Artificial intelligence would tell us the true intention in a snap…
For instance, wouldn't it be wonderful if you could read the thoughts of a politician preparing to lie to you with artificial intelligence? Could they get your vote?
Wouldn't you want to see the thoughts of a fraudster trying to scam you, or the true intentions of a cult leader to whom you are about to entrust your child?
This is an open call to companies interested in artificial intelligence and to AI experts; develop this technology urgently.
As a nation, we are in great need of reading minds and intentions…
Because we cannot perceive anyone's true intentions.
