At home, on the street, at work, at school, in the hospital, and even in the courthouse... Everywhere in Turkey  WOMEN continue to be murdered!

Narin, murdered at the age of 8; İkbal, brutally killed at the Edirnekapı walls; Ayşenur Halil, savagely slaughtered; and 2-year-old Sıla, who lost her life  after being sexually abused, have become  the final straw for millions of people!

Women are being mercilessly wiped out, one after another, like sparrows, for trivial reasons.

Many young girls are now afraid to go out on the street alone during the day. Families are anxious.  Social decay in society has fueled violence. The nature of violence has changed.

We have become a country where anyone who is bored kills women. We are all responsible for this.

There is a law in Turkey that protects women, but it is not being enforced.

LAW ON THE PROTECTION OF THE FAMILY AND

PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Known by its short name, 6284!

Why is it not being enforced?

While violence has targeted women and children, the most vulnerable populations in society, we must do something for the future of our children.

Tomorrow is November 25th! The “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”

In Turkey, there are millions of women in almost every family who have experienced at least one form of violence. For women condemned to a life in a cycle of violence, for our sisters  whose lives have been stolen,  it is time to unite so that no more lives are taken!

Our power to struggle will defeat violence. I believe this with all my heart.

I believe that every citizen, man or woman, who cares about the future of their children must unite to break the cycle of violence.

What matters most is to live and to let live.

To live and to let live

On November 25th,

in the city where you are,

to say "No to all forms of violence,"

are you ready

TO WALK?

To live and to let live,

we are walking...
