October 11, International Day of the Girl Child!

On Thursday, October 11, Turkey will go down in world history as a country that, for 50 days, has been unable to find the reason for the murder of an innocent 8-year-old girl or identify her killer.

Those who killed Narin—a child whose body was brutally murdered, teeth removed, placed in a bag inside a stream, and weighed down with a large rock so it wouldn't drift away—destroyed all the evidence. From the moment they filed a missing person report until the day it was confirmed she was murdered in her father's house, Narin's perpetrators erased everything related to her. But they could neither erase Narin's innocent smile from our memory nor the anger building up inside us against what was done to her… This is an anger that has been woven into our social memory, forcing us to confront the meaning of being human. This is an anger that is ready to explode at any moment, turning into a fireball with a single spark…

We are at the point where we say enough is enough.

Since the day we moved away from the simple and plain state of being human, we have been unable to protect either our girls or our women. And we are waiting for an answer to this question;

What does the government, which withdrew from an international convention that “protects women” on the grounds that it harms the “Traditional Family” structure and family values, have to say about an 8-year-old girl being murdered within that very traditional family structure?

Since the “Istanbul Convention,” which was abolished by a decision published at midnight on March 21, 2021, at least one woman has been killed by a man every single day of the month.

To understand the degree of our anger, let's swap the roles of the perpetrator and the victim;

What would happen if the degree of violence by women against men increased every day?

What would happen if a woman killed at least one man every day of the month?,

What would happen if 296 men had been killed by women from the beginning of 2024 to October?

What would happen if 4,197 men had been killed by women in the last 10 years, and these blood-stained women wore the stylish clothes their murdered husbands had bought for them, put on a modest demeanor in these clothes on the day of the trial, and were released after receiving a “good conduct” sentence reduction?

What would happen if 31 percent of the men killed by women were murdered with sharp or pointed objects,

What would happen if 55 percent of the men killed by women lost their lives with a single bullet fired with pinpoint accuracy to the head or heart, and because that bullet was a single bullet, they escaped an aggravated life sentence?

What would happen if women who already had criminal records due to impunity policies and deficiencies in execution laws were released despite camera footage present in the case files?

If women were able to kill men easily because no one spoke out against the violence they showed toward men and because they were allowed to kill men…

What would happen?

What would happen if the number of men killed by women in Turkey reached a size that would fill a football stadium?

If women continued to kill not because of unemployment, poverty, or psychological depression, but because they could kill men easily and did not face punishment for killing men,

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN?
