The honor of innocent people was toyed with. Character assassinations were carried out with fabricated documents.

Those who committed suicide due to the injustice they suffered, and those who died of cancer, have been etched into the memory of society.

The AKP government backed FETÖ's operations. It supported them. The government turned a deaf ear to the cries of those buried within concrete walls and those waiting for them outside, and to the screams for law and justice.

Through a series of fabricated cases such as Ergenekon, Balyoz, Oda TV, and the assassination of admirals, intimidation was used against all segments in Turkey that were not with the AKP—that is, the vast majority of the country.

They wanted honest politicians, journalists, business people, and scientists to remain silent and cower.

The climate of fear lasted for years...

After all, what wouldn't those who imprisoned the Chief of General Staff of this country as a 'terrorist' do to anyone else!

Even in those days, we practiced journalism that broke down the walls of fear. We never deviated an inch from the pursuit of truth.

The scales of justice were our courts, our consciences, and our humanity.

Those who 'understood' that FETÖ was a terrorist organization only after conflicts of interest arose, this time began their own FETÖ operations.

They threw the right and the wrong into the same sack, creating a legal travesty in which innocent people were once again burned.

So much so that they accused the victims of the FETÖ conspiracy of being FETÖ members years later. Only they themselves were pure...

This time, they created a climate of fear with the 'FETÖ sack' that would last for years over the opposition.

The country became unable to keep track of who was being arrested and released when.

They shoved injustice and lawlessness into the eyes of society so that the climate of fear would take root...
