All children are in need of protection.
So, are these children being protected enough? NO, CHILDREN ARE NOT BEING PROTECTED ENOUGH.
They are not protected from publications, especially children's publications. Uncles, aunts, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends still pass children around from lap to lap.
They dote on children of all ages, especially babies, saying "Oh, look at you!" and kissing them with saliva and snot.
The poor child is passed from lap to lap. They are traumatized. They catch germs. They get sick.
As they grow a little older, they are attacked by television... A little older, and it's computer games... Especially for poor children, the children of workers and laborers... School starts, and peer bullying begins. In fact, bullying doesn't just exist at school. There is street bullying, neighborhood bullying... Children's lives are not as easy as people think.
WHAT IS PEER BULLYING?
It is the harm inflicted upon those who are weaker in terms of physical, emotional, or social class aspects within the same age group. "It is a type of abuse where a child is intentionally mistreated by one or more peers, either individually or collectively."
In general, the causes of peer bullying
a- Power imbalance: this is the most common method. A child may frequently resort to this to appear powerful and exert pressure on their peers.
b- Family problems; they cannot solve family problems. Therefore, they suffer greatly. Over time, this pain and anger turn into bullying. And from all these contradictions, peer bullying is born. The child, unable to control their anger, develops bullying attitudes toward their friends.
"Children can define a character for themselves on social media. In order to project the character they have defined, they may repeat its bad actions and behaviors. Peer group pressure is also among the causes of the problem. These approaches can be seen in an effort to comply with the rules of the dominant group in the school or neighborhood."
Peer bullying is mostly seen between the ages of 7 and 15:
"Every type of behavior or word that harms the other party is included in this problem. The types of peer bullying, which cover a wide area, can be diversified as physical, emotional, verbal, social, cyber, sexual, and property bullying."
IT IS A SITUATION FREQUENTLY ENCOUNTERED IN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENTS AND ON THE STREETS. MOST OF THESE BULLYING INCIDENTS REMAIN HIDDEN. THE CHILD CANNOT ALWAYS TELL THEIR MOTHER OR FATHER. PEER BULLYING IS A GREAT SOURCE OF UNHAPPINESS FOR CHILDREN.
To prevent this problem, first and foremost, one must know the source of this phenomenon that causes pain to children. It is necessary to know the problem very well, to research it, and to grasp it in all its dimensions. I state this fact: our children are suffering greatly in this regard; children we would never expect are bullying, and children we would never expect are becoming victims of bullies.
All children need to feel safe; otherwise, as adults, we may even be causing very serious receivers or even some psychological disasters.
