An inspiring book dedicated to science and women

L’Oréal Turkey has brought the work titled "The Story of Brave Turkish Women in the Footsteps of Science" to readers in collaboration with Kırmızı Kedi Publishing, aiming to share the stories of courageous women in science with a wider audience and support their recognition.

All royalty proceeds from the sale of the book, which brings together the experiences, struggles, and achievements of 34 women in science, will be donated to the Science Heroes Association (Bilim Kahramanları Derneği), which supports children aged 8-12 in developing future-oriented solutions with robots. 

The stories of women in science who have received awards to date under the "For Women in Science" program, which L’Oréal Turkey has been conducting in cooperation with the UNESCO Turkish National Commission and which has reached its 23rd year this year, are being compiled into a book and shared with future generations. The work titled "The Story of Brave Turkish Women in the Footsteps of Science," prepared by Kırmızı Kedi Publishing, aims to make the transformative power of science and the pioneering role of women in this field visible. The book brings together the stories of female scientists who emerged from all corners of Turkey and changed the world in the light of science.

A TRIBUTE TO THE POWER OF WOMEN

Having awarded the projects of 128 women in science to date, L’Oréal Turkey makes not only individual achievements but also the potential for collective transformation visible through these success stories. 100 of the 128 women in science who received awards from the program continue their careers as professors or associate professors today. 34 of these 128 women in science share their experiences, struggles, and achievements in the book "The Story of Brave Turkish Women in the Footsteps of Science." 

This work reveals that science flourishes not only in laboratories but also at the points where perseverance, curiosity, and passion intersect.
