Famous musician Damo Suzuki, who had been battling cancer for 30 years, has passed away at the age of 74.
Japanese-born musician Damo Suzuki, who fronted the rock band Can, has passed away at the age of 74.
Suzuki had appeared on classic Can albums released in the early 1970s, such as 'Tago Mago', 'Ege Bamyasi', and 'Future Days'.
'TOUCHED SO MANY PEOPLE'
A message shared on Can's Instagram account stated: "It is with great sadness that we have to announce that our wonderful friend Damo Suzuki passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. His boundless creative energy touched so many people all over the world. Damo's kind soul and smile will be missed forever."
HE HAD SAID 'EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE' BUT...
Suzuki, who succumbed to his battle with colon cancer, had made the following statement in 2022:
"Everything is fine. I am an optimist, and if you have positive thoughts, then everything will be fine."
