Sakıp Sabancı Museum's summer event series, 'Müzede Suare' (Soiree at the Museum), returns to cinema enthusiasts from June 17 to June 22, 2025. Organized with the support of the Sabancı Foundation and in collaboration with Başka Sinema, the open-air film screenings will bring the joy of cinema to summer evenings on the Fıstıklı Terrace, overlooking the Bosphorus.

Prepared this year under the theme "Other Forms, Familiar States," the selection aims to establish strong bonds with the audience by bringing together different forms of cinematic storytelling with familiar emotions.

Müzede Suare will open its curtains on Tuesday, June 17, with the world premiere of Post Truth, the first feature-length documentary produced with artificial intelligence, featuring the participation of the film crew. Directed by Alkan Avcıoğlu, the film will confront the audience with the distorted reality of the information age.

BETTER MAN

On Wednesday, June 18, Better Man, which tells the life story of famous pop star Robbie Williams, will be screened in Turkey for the first time as part of Müzede Suare. Directed by Michael Gracey, the film recounts Williams' journey from his childhood to his years with Take That and his solo career, accompanied by music.

DEAD SEASON

On Thursday, June 19, Dead Season (Ölü Mevsim), directed by Doğuş Algün, will meet the audience. Starring Funda Eryiğit and Ece Yaşar, the film focuses on the lives of two sisters trapped in a conservative neighborhood following a personal loss. The screening will take place with the participation of the film crew.

On Saturday, June 21, Oscar Wilde's cult work The Importance of Being Earnest will be screened in Turkey for the first time as a National Theatre Live production. The production, brought to the stage by Max Webster, cleverly questions social roles through the relationships of two gentlemen built on lies.

Müzede Suare will conclude on Sunday, June 22, with the film 2073. Directed by Asif Kapadia, the film combines documentary footage with fictional scenes to address important issues of our time, such as the climate crisis, surveillance technologies, and global inequalities. While serving as a warning about the future, the film invites the audience to question the present day.
