The attorney for the film's producer, Orchestra Content, Hande Fırat, stated that the film covered both the art and the life experiences of a public figure:

“The plaintiff Halis Serbest’s name is not included in the film. Therefore, we request the dismissal of this unjust and baseless lawsuit.”

The final hearing of the case, which was ongoing at the Kozan 1st Civil Court of First Instance, was held.

According to the report in Hürriyet, Halis Serbest, who attended the hearing, said, "They portrayed me as a bogeyman in this film. It absolutely does not reflect the truth."

Announcing its verdict, the court dismissed the lawsuit filed by Halis Serbest, with the reasoning to be explained later.

HOW DID BERGEN DIE?

The artist, who left the stage for a period, released the albums "Onu da Yak Tanrım", "Sevgimin Bedeli", and "İstemiyorum" under the direction of Selami Şahin, Özer Şenay, and Cengiz Tekin, respectively. Bergen, who left her music and film career behind after reconciling with Serbes, who was released from prison in 1988, divorced her husband in April 1989. Returning to the stage in June of the same year, the artist presented her final album, "Yıllar Affetmez", to music lovers before her passing in 1989.

The artist, who began promotional tours for the album which was met with intense interest, was shot and killed by her ex-husband Serbes in Adana's Pozantı district on the night connecting August 14 to August 15, 1989. The artist's funeral was laid to rest in the City Cemetery in her hometown of Mersin.

The artist, who gave concerts both domestically and abroad, managed to fit 5 long plays, 11 cassettes, 129 songs, and one film into her short life.

Following the passing of Bergen, who left a mark on the arabesque world with her distinct and powerful voice, the album "Giden Gençliğim" was released in 1990 and sold out on the day it was first released.

In addition to many arabesque and nostalgia-themed albums, Bergen's songs have also been interpreted by Ceylan Ertem, Ebru Yaşar, Emrah, Funda Arar, Muazzez Ersoy, and Işın Karaca.
