Little-known photograph of Atatürk emerges

Cengiz Sakarya, who has been a photographer for many years, has shared a unique frame from Atatürk's visit to Isparta for the first time. Sakarya stated that the photograph in question was taken by his father-in-law and has been kept in their family archives ever since.

Emphasizing that it has not been published anywhere before, Sakarya expressed that this special photograph immortalizes a moment when Atatürk was resting at the Eğirdir Train Station.

According to Sakarya's account, “It is a photograph that has not been published anywhere in Turkey yet. This is a photograph taken while Atatürk was resting at the Eğirdir Train Station. It has been passed down from generation to generation. Since my father-in-law was interested in photography, he had many photographs in his local archive. These are photographs that have not come to light. Currently, they are all in my archive.

It is certainly important for this photograph to be brought to the country. Unfortunately, there are not many photographs regarding Atatürk's arrival in Isparta. I prepared and gave a print of this photograph to the Isparta Atatürk Museum. Other than that, it has not been published anywhere else,” he said.
