Müzeyyen Senar in New York's Times Square

As we prepare to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Müzeyyen Senar has become the October ambassador in Turkey for EQUAL, an initiative by the audio platform Spotify that runs worldwide and is designed to promote gender equality in music by empowering the work of female artists.

A TRIBUTE TO MÜZEYYEN SENAR

To date, the 28 Turkish female artists who have served as EQUAL Turkey ambassadors have not only been featured on the cover of the EQUAL Turkey playlist and on the EQUAL Global playlist, but have also appeared on a billboard in New York's Times Square.

Müzeyyen Senar, one of the most important names in Turkish Classical Music and known as the "Diva of the Republic," has become the 29th artist and the October ambassador for EQUAL in Turkey, during this significant month as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

Spotify is paying tribute to one of the most important names in Turkish Classical Music, who also sang many times in the presence of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic.
