Onlookers were stunned! Roman-era tomb discovered in Yalova

According to the information received, a jar tomb, likely dating back to the Roman period, was discovered during an excavation for a villa construction carried out by a private company in the Akköy Çukuçayır area of Yalova.

The Termal District Gendarmerie Command took the necessary security measures in the area where the tomb was found and notified the Museum Directorate.

With the permission to be obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism by the Museum Directorate, the tomb will be removed from its location on October 27, 2023 (tomorrow).
