FETÖ warning from RTÜK President Şahin: 'Under the surveillance of our Supreme Council'
RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated, "Unacceptable remarks made regarding the FETÖ ringleader are under the surveillance of our Supreme Council."
Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) President Ebubekir Şahin stated on his social media account regarding the death of FETÖ ringleader Fethullah Gülen, "He betrayed the nation and died stateless. Our fight against the traitorous FETÖ, which targeted the national will, will continue with determination. May the souls of our July 15 martyrs rest in peace."
WARNING TO BROADCASTERS
On the other hand, warning broadcasters regarding the death of ringleader Gülen, Şahin stated, "Unacceptable remarks made regarding the FETÖ ringleader in some media outlets within our jurisdiction are under the surveillance of our Supreme Council. No broadcaster can air content that praises terrorism and terrorists."
CONTROVERSIAL FOOTAGE HAD EMERGED
Words used during the announcement of the death of FETÖ ringleader Fethullah Gülen on a local channel broadcasting in Bursa had drawn backlash.
In the 'Gün'Aysın' program presented by Bursada Bugün Editor-in-Chief Aysın Komitgan, the news of Fethullah Gülen's death was presented with shocking expressions.
Komitgan, who reported the death of the FETÖ ringleader, used the phrase 'May his place be heaven' for Gülen.
Komitgan's statements on the matter are as follows:
“The day began, we woke up to news that left us stunned with questions of whether it was really true, as it had come to the agenda several times before but we learned it was not true. The news of Fethullah Gülen's death arrived. He passed away yesterday; the news of his death was confirmed by sources close to his organization and his nephew. What can we say, may his place be heaven."
