10-year-old child found dead in a field in Çanakkale

A 10-year-old child was found dead in a field in the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale.

According to reports, it was discovered yesterday that 10-year-old Mehmet Sıddık Gültekin, the son of a family working as laborers in a bell pepper field owned by İbrahim A. near the Bayramiç Dam in the village of Tülüler, was lying motionless in the field.

The young child was taken by his father by vehicle to the emergency department of Bayramiç State Hospital.

Despite medical intervention, the child could not be saved, and his body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the cause of death.

Following the assessment that Mehmet Sıddık Gültekin lost his life as a result of a blow to the head, the prosecutor's office has launched an investigation.
