11 immunity files submitted to Parliament: 8 belong to CHP deputies
A total of 11 legislative immunity files belonging to 10 deputies have been submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The files, which include those of 8 CHP deputies, have been sent to the Joint Committee composed of members of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions for evaluation.
A total of 11 legislative immunity files belonging to 10 deputies have reached the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). The files, sent via presidential memoranda, were referred to the Joint Committee composed of members of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions.
FILES SENT TO THE JOINT COMMITTEE
The presidential memoranda regarding the lifting of legislative immunities were referred to the Joint Committee by the Speaker of the Parliament. The committee will examine the files and make evaluations regarding the process.
8 CHP DEPUTIES' FILES ARE ON THE LIST
Among the files referred to the Joint Committee are those of CHP Mersin Deputy Ali Mahir Başarır, CHP Diyarbakır Deputy Mustafa Sezgin Tanrıkulu, CHP İstanbul Deputy Namık Tan, CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal, CHP Manisa Deputy Selma Aliye Kavaf, CHP Kocaeli Deputy Harun Özgür Yıldızlı, CHP Rize Deputy Tahsin Ocaklı, and CHP Gaziantep Deputy Hasan Öztürkmen.
Additionally, the files of IYI Party Kocaeli Deputy Lütfü Türkkan and Independent Istanbul Deputy Selim Temurci were also sent to the Joint Committee.
There are two separate immunity files concerning Mahmut Tanal. For this reason, the number of files submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM has reached 11.
