12.5 years mentioned in the preliminary report: AKP's Şamil Tayyar announces the date for the verdict in the IMM case

The first hearing in the IMM case, involving 402 defendants including CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been detained in Silivri Prison since March 23, will be held on March 9.

12.5-YEAR TARGET DURATION FOR THE CASE

In the "Trial Target Duration Form" prepared by the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court, it was noted that the case is planned to be concluded within 4,600 days. This period corresponds to approximately 12.5 years.

The statement in the form included the following:

“It is aimed to complete the trial in a maximum of 4,600 days, and the contribution and support of the parties and lawyers are of great importance in achieving this goal.

Considering that delays caused by reasons originating from the parties are not taken into account in the calculation of the target duration, we kindly ask you to show sensitivity to these matters.”

ŞAMİL TAYYAR: IT WILL END IN 7–8 MONTHS

Former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar stated that the duration determined by the court is an automatic calculation made by the UYAP system based on the number of defendants, and indicated that the trial would be completed within 7-8 months. "The IMM corruption case begins on March 9.

The 12.5-year target duration is the score and time given by UYAP based on the number of suspects and the volume of the file.

There will be hearings 4 days a week.

As a result of this intense pace, it is stated that the court will reach a verdict on the file in 7/8 months.

In other words.

It seems highly likely that the verdict regarding the IMM case will be issued by the end of 2026."
