137 workers lost their lives in one month according to ISIG report

The ISIG Assembly has published its Workplace Homicide Report for November. It was stated that 137 workers lost their lives in November alone.

The report also noted that at least 1,772 workers lost their lives in the first eleven months of 2023.

According to the report, the distribution of workplace homicides in November by age group is as follows:

• Two child/young workers aged 15-17.
• 36 workers aged 18-29.
• 49 workers aged 30-49.
• 36 workers aged 50-64.
• 11 workers aged 65 and over.
• Three workers whose age could not be determined.

The distribution of workplace homicides in November by industry is as follows:

Construction industry: 40.

Agriculture, forestry industry: 17. Ship.

Shipyard, maritime, port industry: 15.

Transportation industry: 13.

Mining industry: Eight.

Municipal, general industry: Eight.

Trade, office, education, cinema industry: Seven.

Accommodation, entertainment industry: Six.

Metal industry: Five.

Cement, earth, glass industry: Four.

Food, sugar industry: Three.

Energy industry: Three.

Defense, security industry: Two.

Petrochemical, rubber industry: One.

Wood, paper industry: One.

Press, journalism industry: One.

Industry could not be determined: Three.
