2.5-year-old Melike, who went missing in Batman, has been found

After little Melike went missing in the village of Bağlıca in Gercüş, Batman, her family reported the situation to the authorities. Following the report, search and rescue teams were dispatched to the region, and a large-scale operation was launched in the village.

AFAD, the gendarmerie, medical teams, and IHH Search and Rescue personnel conducted a sweep of the village surroundings and the rural area. The efforts continued without interruption during hours when rain and strong winds were effective. Despite the terrain conditions, which became difficult at times, the teams did not leave the field throughout the night.

Following the long search, Melike was reached around 08:00 in the morning. The child, who was found alive, was taken under protection against the risk of being affected by the cold. Melike, who was picked up from the location where she was found by gendarmerie teams, was handed over to medical personnel.

The little child, who received her initial intervention in the village, was later taken to the hospital.
