2 people had lost their lives: New development in the investigation regarding the collapsed building in Konya
One more suspect has been apprehended on allegations of responsibility in the collapse of a 4-story building in Konya, where 2 people lost their lives after being trapped under the rubble.
A new development has occurred in the investigation conducted regarding the collapse of the building in Konya.
Upon the instruction of the Konya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Adnan T., one of the individuals who constructed the building and is alleged to have responsibility in the incident, was taken into custody by police teams.
The suspect's processing at the Provincial Police Department's Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch continues.
The Taşoluk Apartment building on Beyşehir Street in the Selçuk neighborhood of Konya's central Selçuklu district collapsed on January 24; 3 people were rescued from the rubble, and the lifeless bodies of 2 people were recovered.
Regarding the incident, for which an investigation was launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, one deputy chief public prosecutor and 2 public prosecutors were assigned, and 6 people were taken into custody.
The suspects, fish shop operator Kazım F., former coffeehouse owner Kemal Ö., shop owners Hakkı İ. and Mehmet P., interior designer Tuncer D., and Volkan D., who performed the renovation work for the fish shop, were arrested by the duty magistrate at the courthouse to which they were referred.
