2 people released in drug investigation after benefiting from effective remorse!

Arif Altunbulak, manager of the Bebek Hotel, and Menderes Utku, owner of the business called Clubhouse, who were being held in custody as part of a "drug" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, applied to benefit from effective remorse provisions. The two individuals, whose applications were accepted, have been released.

JUDICIAL CONTROL CONDITION IMPOSED

According to the decision of the Istanbul 5th Criminal Judgeship of Peace, the Public Prosecutor's Office requested that Utku, who was being held in custody on charges of "facilitating the use of narcotic substances," be released under judicial control conditions.

According to the report by Ceylan Sever from HaberTürk, the judgeship accepted the request, stating that the evidence had been largely collected at the current stage of the investigation. In this context, it was decided to impose a travel ban on Menderes Utku. It was stated that the judicial control measures would remain in effect until the investigation is completed, a lawsuit is filed, or a decision of non-prosecution is issued.

Bebek Hotel Manager Arif Altunbulak, who was arrested within the framework of the drug investigation, was also among those released during the same process.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

As part of the investigation, Muzaffer Yıldırım, the owner of the Bebek Hotel, and its general manager, Arif Altunbulak, were arrested on January 7.

It was alleged that gambling, drug use, and private invitation parties were held at the Bebek Hotel owned by Yıldırım and at a residence in Şişli, and that hidden camera recordings were taken during these events.

While all assets belonging to the owner of the Bebek Hotel were seized on February 9, trustees were appointed to 6 companies affiliated with Yıldırım on March 6.

On the other hand, an operation was carried out on the business named Clubhouse on February 6, and Menderes Utku was arrested on February 8.
