2 terrorists neutralized in Ağrı

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 2 terrorists were neutralized in a clash between security forces and terrorists during the 'Martyr Specialist Gendarmerie VI Grade Sergeant Yılmaz Özden' operation in the Berezer region of Ağrı's Doğubayazıt district.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated the following in a post on his social media account:

“As a result of the work carried out by the Gendarmerie General Command Intelligence units, the 'Martyr Specialist Gendarmerie VI Grade Sergeant Yılmaz Özden' operation was conducted in the Berezer region of Ağrı's Doğubayazıt district, with the support of J-UAVs, the Attack Helicopter Wing, and the Air Force Command, and with the participation of Gendarmerie Commando Special Operations Teams. Within the scope of the operation, 2 terrorists were neutralized along with their weapons as a result of a close-range armed clash between our heroic commandos and the terrorists. I congratulate our heroic gendarmerie. The prayers of our noble nation are with you. We have only one goal; and that is to fight without stopping or pausing until the last terrorist is neutralized.”
