2 Turkish Airlines pilots lose their lives in accident on Northern Marmara Motorway
On the Northern Marmara Motorway, a vehicle carrying three Turkish Airlines pilots struck a truck from behind while in motion. Two of the three pilots lost their lives in the tragic accident.

The incident occurred in the morning hours on the Northern Marmara Motorway in Arnavutköy.
Turkish Airlines pilots Oğuzhan Dağ, Ekin Güneş, and Ersal Erdal were traveling in the same vehicle toward Çatalca on a day they were not scheduled to fly.
During the journey, the vehicle driven by Captain Pilot Ersal Erdal struck a truck from behind.
In the tragic accident, Turkish Airlines Captain Pilots Oğuzhan Dağ and Ekin Güneş lost their lives at the scene.
Ersal Erdal, who was rescued with injuries, was taken to the hospital.
Pilot Ersal Erdal, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident, was arrested by the court following his treatment and sent to prison.
