According to the information received, the treatment of the baby S.Y. continues in the intensive care unit of Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital, where she has been intubated for 16 days.

CONDITION REMAINS CRITICAL

In the Malkara district of Tekirdağ, the mother, B.Y., took her daughter S.Y. to Malkara State Hospital on September 8, stating that she "would not wake up." Following the examination, the baby was referred to Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital with a diagnosis of brain hemorrhage and suspicion of sexual abuse, and the situation was reported to the police.

The baby underwent brain surgery and was placed in intensive care while intubated.

As part of the investigation, the mother B.Y. (25), B.Y.'s partner S.Ö. (57), their neighbor K.A. (32), and K.A.'s 13-year-old son and 14-year-old G.K. were taken into custody, and the suspects were arrested by the court. S.Y.'s 5-year-old sibling, A.Y., was placed under state protection.

Tekirdağ Bar Association President Egemen Gürcün had stated that it was determined by a forensic medical report that the 2-year-old baby girl, who was brought to the hospital due to physical assault and is still receiving treatment in intensive care, had been subjected to sexual abuse.
