21-year-old footballer killed in armed attack: Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu taken into custody

In an attack that took place last night on Sıddık Street in Istanbul, 21-year-old footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, who played for Kars 36 Spor Club, lost his life.

It was learned that the famous rapper Canbay was also with Kundakçı at the time. Following the armed attack, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

In a statement regarding the tragic loss, Kars 36 Spor Club said on its social media account: "A painful event has plunged our Kars 36 Spor community into mourning. Our footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı lost his life as a result of an armed attack he was subjected to in Istanbul last night. The passing of our young footballer has caused great sadness in our sports community, especially for his family. We wish God's mercy upon the deceased; we extend our condolences to his grieving family, relatives, and our community."

ALEYNA KALAYCIOĞLU UNDER INVESTIGATION

Following the attack, teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate's Murder Bureau, who are conducting the investigation, took the statement of the rapper Canbay, who was in the vehicle during the incident. As a result of the investigations, allegations emerged that the incident was carried out by Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's new boyfriend. While it was stated that the individual in question fled after the murder, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was taken into custody by police teams. Reports had previously appeared in the press that Kalaycıoğlu had broken up with Canbay two weeks ago.
