21-year-old young footballer had lost his life: His father spoke out! He explained the behind-the-scenes of the attack

In the incident that took place on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Istanbul's Ümraniye district, 21-year-old footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı was subjected to an armed attack by assailants who arrived in vehicles equipped with flashing lights in front of a studio. Kundakçı, who was seriously wounded as a result of the fire opened by one of the attackers, A.K., lost his life at the hospital where he was taken. Following the incident, police teams launched a large-scale operation to capture the suspect A.K., who fled the scene.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE ATTACK

Allegedly, rapper Vahap Canbay asked for support from Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı because he wanted to reconcile with singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu.

Upon this request, Kundakçı and Canbay set out to go to the studio where Kalaycıoğlu was working. While they were waiting in the car, the suspects arrived in vehicles with flashing lights, and A.K. knocked on the car window and opened the door. While it is unknown what happened in those moments, A.K. opened fire. One of the bullets hit Kundakçı, and the young footballer could not be saved despite being taken to the hospital.

After Kundakçı's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue, his father, Cemil Kundakçı, made important statements regarding the incident. Stating that his son played football for Kars 36 Spor and had come to Istanbul for the holiday break, the father explained the details of the attack. "My son helped Vahap Canbay reconcile with Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu. However, the attackers came and opened fire, and my son lost his life," he said.

Father Cemil Kundakçı questioned the possible connections behind the incident. "Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu's mother may have learned the location of the person who shot my son. There was no one with my son; how did they come there that day? Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu might have information," he said, questioning whether the singer was involved in the incident.

FATHER DEMANDED THE CAPTURE OF THE KILLER

Demanding that the killer be found as soon as possible, the father said, "My son's blood will not remain on the ground. This incident must be pursued. State officials should also do what is necessary in this regard. My son is dead, and now we are trying to take care of his child's home. You have children too; do what is necessary regarding this matter," demanding that justice be served as soon as possible.

ALEYNA KALAYCIOĞLU IN CUSTODY

On the other hand, footage showing the vehicles used by the suspects who carried out the attack arriving at the scene has emerged. It was learned that Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu has been taken into custody. While the investigation into the incident continues, efforts are ongoing to capture Kundakçı's killer.
