3 high-ranking Iranian officials killed

As tensions between Iran and Israel escalate, a notable statement came from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Netanyahu announced that the head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards Intelligence, Mohammad Kazemi, and his deputy were killed in an airstrike carried out in Tehran.

Netanyahu stated, "We just neutralized the intelligence chief and his deputy in Tehran. Our brave pilots are currently in the skies over Tehran; we are striking military and nuclear targets."

The statement emphasized that the two individuals killed were at the center of Iran's security and intelligence structure.

MASHHAD AIRPORT IN NORTHEASTERN IRAN STRUCK

Simultaneously with Netanyahu's statements, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted Mashhad Airport, located in northeastern Iran. As a result of the attack, a military transport aircraft reported to belong to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was destroyed.

The Israeli military reported that the purpose of the attack was to disrupt Iran's military logistics chain.

ATTACKS FROM IRAN TO ISRAEL CONTINUED OVER THE WEEKEND

These operations by Israel came following attacks carried out by Iran throughout the weekend. Iran launched attacks on Israel with dozens of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. It was reported that at least 11 Israelis lost their lives in these attacks, and approximately 200 people were injured.

Statements made by Iran had indicated that the attacks were carried out within the scope of "self-defense."
