3 people fined 1 million liras for cage hunting in Van
A total of 1 million TL in fines was imposed on 3 people who caught hundreds of partridges in tents they set up on land in the Erciş district of Van.
Personnel from the Erciş Chief Office of the 14th Regional Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP), having received a tip-off that cage hunting was taking place in the Erciş district, organized an operation with teams from the Erciş District Gendarmerie Command. Upon seeing the gendarmerie and DKMP teams, the individuals tore down the tents, allowing the partridges inside to escape into the wild. During the operation, 382 partridges were seized inside the tents set up in the area, and a total of 1 million TL in fines was imposed on 3 people regarding the 382 partridges.
