3 separate Cabinet lists circulating in the corridors: 'There are 4 common names on all lists...'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave a message of change in the Cabinet in his statement to journalists on the plane returning from Albania.

In his statement, Erdoğan had said, "In the new process, just as there may be some changes among the deputy chairmen, we will also make our evaluations regarding the cabinet accordingly. There may be some changes there as well."

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, known for his proximity to the government, wrote about the lists circulating after Erdoğan signaled a change in the Cabinet and deputy chairmanships.

"Political corridors have become active after President Erdoğan's statement that there might be a change in the Cabinet. For now, there are three separate lists. There are 4 common names on all lists. Mehmet Şimşek, Hakan Fidan, Yaşar Güler, and Murat Kurum are the sure bets," said Abdulkadir Selvi, adding, "If the Cabinet is to change, no one knows it except President Erdoğan. Erdoğan has not been making very radical changes for a while. He replaces those who are faltering. He does not make changes just for the sake of it. Final word; the lists circulating in the corridors are not accurate. This business is not about a 'minister lottery' but about Erdoğan's preference."

The relevant section from Abdulkadir Selvi's article titled 'Three separate Cabinet lists are circulating' is as follows:

"Political corridors have become active after President Erdoğan's statement that there might be a change in the Cabinet.

The number of people calling and asking those expected to become ministers has increased. There are even those who call those whose names are mentioned for a ministry, saying, "You know how solid my sources in the corridors are. You are in the Cabinet this time. Congratulations." Among these are, first and foremost, those who call potential names during every Cabinet reshuffle and say, "I learned it from a solid source. You are becoming a minister," even though none of their predictions have ever come true.

MINISTER LOTTERY

As of yesterday, Cabinet lists started to circulate. For now, there are three separate lists. Some have gotten carried away and haven't even put a single female minister in the Cabinet, whereas there is always a female minister in AK Party cabinets. Some have included only a few names other than President Erdoğan. They have changed 80 percent of the Cabinet.

SURE BETS

There are 4 common names on all lists. Mehmet Şimşek, Hakan Fidan, Yaşar Güler, and Murat Kurum are the sure bets. Apart from them, there is a Minister of Health on one list, and a Minister of Interior on another. While some lists do not include anyone from the headquarters, some lists include one or two names from the headquarters. The situation at the Presidential Complex is the same. The number of people from the Complex included in the list changes according to the list. There are also those who write the names of bureaucrats they want to get rid of on the list. Some names are fixtures on every Cabinet list, but they have never been able to enter the real Cabinet so far.

ONLY ERDOĞAN KNOWS

If the Cabinet is to change, no one knows it except President Erdoğan. Erdoğan has not been making very radical changes for a while. He replaces those who are faltering. He does not make changes just for the sake of it.

Final word; the lists circulating in the corridors are not accurate. This business is not about a 'minister lottery' but about Erdoğan's preference."
