3 suspects arrested for defrauding 33 people of 43 million liras in Akçakale, Şanlıurfa
In the Akçakale district of Şanlıurfa, 3 suspects who defrauded 33 people of 43 million 508 thousand 299 liras by calling them on the phone have been arrested.
Şanlıurfa Provincial Police Department Public Security Branch teams, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, launched an operation to apprehend individuals who committed fraud by calling people on the phone and posing as judges, prosecutors, or police officers.
Within this framework, 3 suspects were taken into custody during an operation conducted by the teams at addresses identified in the Akçakale district. During searches at the addresses, digital materials used by the suspects in the incidents were seized. It was determined that the suspects had defrauded 33 people in 23 provinces of 43 million 508 thousand 299 liras.
The 3 suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested by the duty magistrate's court.
