32 suspects apprehended in operation against FETÖ

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 32 suspects were taken into custody as a result of operations carried out in 10 provinces within the scope of the "Kıskaç-4" (Pincer-4) operations.

Minister Yerlikaya stated, "Our fight against FETÖ members who attempted to stage a coup against our national will will continue with determination," and shared the following details regarding the operations:

"As a result of the 'Kıskaç-4' Operations carried out in 10 provinces by the Provincial Police Departments under the coordination of the Counter-Terrorism Department, 32 suspects were apprehended. Our fight against FETÖ members who attempted to stage a coup against our national will will continue with determination.

In the operations carried out by the Istanbul Police Department Intelligence Branch and Counter-Terrorism Branch, 2 landlords and 4 wanted FETÖ members were taken into custody after it was determined that they were residing in groups in 'Gaybubet houses' (safe houses) by renting houses in the names of individuals who assist the organization, in order to avoid detection.

In addition, 11 suspects operating within the 'Military Secret Structure' and communicating via payphones were apprehended in operations held in Konya, Ankara, Istanbul, Bursa, Antalya, Ordu, Balıkesir, Tokat, and Afyonkarahisar.

As a result of the operations, 4 suspects operating within the 'GATA Structure' were apprehended in Ankara and Bursa, 5 suspects from different professional groups with account increase records at Bank Asya were apprehended in Balıkesir, and 1 suspect operating within the organization was apprehended in Aydın.

Furthermore, a total of 5 suspects wanted for the crime of 'Being a Member of an Armed Terrorist Organization (FETÖ)' were apprehended in operations held in Bursa, Aksaray, Afyonkarahisar, Gaziantep, and Kahramanmaraş.

During the operations, a large amount of foreign currency, gold, Turkish Lira, pistols, digital materials, and organizational documents were seized. I extend my congratulations to the police teams who participated in the operations. With the prayers and support of our noble nation, we will continue our fight against terrorist organizations and their collaborators. May God protect you."
