36 suspects apprehended in "Kıskaç-14" operations against FETÖ

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 36 suspects were apprehended in "Kıskaç-14" operations conducted against FETÖ across 17 provinces.

Minister Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account, "We will not give the members of FETÖ any room to breathe. With the prayers and support of our noble nation, we will cut off the breath of terrorist organizations and their collaborators," he said.

Yerlikaya noted that the Kıskaç-14 operations against FETÖ were carried out under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Department and the Intelligence Department, by the Provincial Police Departments' TEM Branches in Konya, Gaziantep, Hatay, Batman, Nevşehir, Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir, Adana, Hakkari, Denizli, Manisa, Kocaeli, Osmaniye, Bursa, and Ordu.

Reporting that 36 suspects were apprehended in the operations, Yerlikaya provided the following information regarding the suspects:

"It was determined that they were active within the organization's so-called 'Military Secret Structure, Police Secret Structure, and Current Structure,' were users of the organization's encrypted communication program ByLock, were in contact with individuals responsible within the organization via operational lines, were active within the scope of the crime of financing terrorism, communicated via payphones, were coded as advantageous in interviews within the scope of individual exam investigations, were named in testimonies and identifications, and had finalized prison sentences and arrest warrants against them within the scope of FETÖ investigations."

Minister Yerlikaya reported that a large amount of foreign currency and Turkish lira, as well as numerous digital materials and documents, were seized as a result of the operations.
