365 additional flights planned for Eid al-Adha

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that 365 additional flights have been planned to meet the increased passenger demand during Eid al-Adha. Airlines and airports are preparing for a busy period.

365 additional flights planned for Eid al-Adha

As Eid al-Adha approaches, airlines have begun organizing additional flights to meet the rising travel demand. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that 365 additional flights have been planned so that citizens can spend the holiday with their loved ones.

4 AIRLINES FLYING WITH ADDITIONAL SERVICES

In a written statement, Minister Uraloğlu shared the details of the flights to be carried out between May 30 and June 10:

Turkish Airlines: 188 domestic flights

AJet: A total of 69 flights, including 63 domestic and 6 international

Pegasus: A total of 103 flights, including 89 domestic and 14 international

SunExpress: 5 domestic flights

A total of 365 additional flights have been planned, consisting of 345 domestic and 20 international flights.

24-HOUR INTENSIVE WORK AT AIRPORTS

The General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) has also completed all its preparations for the holiday period, when traffic is expected to increase. Uraloğlu announced that relevant units at all airports, especially in Istanbul, will operate on a 24-hour basis.

“Throughout the holiday, all relevant units will work in coordination with stakeholders on a 24-hour basis to ensure the comfortable and safe transportation of our citizens.”

SPECIAL MEASURES FOR ISTANBUL AIRPORT

Preventive measures have been taken to avoid problems caused by congestion, particularly at Istanbul Airport. Similar preparations have been completed at airports across the country. The Ministry will be on the ground throughout the holiday to ensure safe, fast, and comfortable transportation for passengers.
