Following the earthquake, Malatya Governor Ersin Yazıcı shared a post on his X account.

In his statement, Yazıcı said, "Following the field scans conducted after the 4.6 magnitude earthquake centered in our Yeşilyurt district, there have been no reports of any negative incidents reaching our institutions. Get well soon to our fellow citizens."
