400,000 TL in Turkey, recycled abroad
With tax amounts and daily price hikes, buying a car has become a dream for many. Meanwhile, abroad, it is observed that vehicles deemed to be in good condition are being crushed, turned into scrap, and sent for recycling.
The ever-increasing economic crisis and the high cost of living have also hit the automotive sector. Especially with constant price hikes and new taxes, buying many cars, from new to used, has become a dream. The thousands of liras demanded for 1990 model vehicles have caused public outcry.
At the same time, some vehicles in good condition abroad are being turned into scrap and sent for recycling almost every day. One of them was shared on social media and became a trending topic. In the social media footage, it was seen that a functional vehicle was being crushed and turned into scrap. Comments such as "It costs 400,000 (400,000 TL) in Turkey" were made under the video in question.
