450 million worth of smuggled gold seized in Hakkari!

Hakkari'de yapılan bir operasyonda, çeşitli bölgelere gizlenmiş halde toplamda 221 kilogram yabancı ülke menşeli külçe altın ele geçirildi.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of this operation in a statement on his social media account. Stating that the operation was carried out in the Yüksekova district of Hakkari, Yerlikaya announced that the smuggled gold, which was found hidden in various parts of a vehicle, had been seized. It was stated that the gold bullion, totaling 221 pieces, each weighed 1 kilogram. It was reported that 3 suspects were also taken into custody as a result of the operation.

Yerlikaya's statements are as follows:

"We are on the heels of smugglers and those involved in forgery. With the support and prayers of our nation, we will not give them any breathing room. As a result of the work carried out by the Hakkari Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch, 221 pieces of foreign-origin gold, each weighing 1 kilogram, were seized after being hidden in compartments within a vehicle caught in the Yüksekova district. 3 suspects were apprehended in the operation."
