460 thousand TL fine for driver who failed to stop
In Sivas, a total fine of 460 thousand TL was imposed on a driver who failed to comply with a police order to stop and drove into oncoming traffic, as well as on the vehicle owner.
Updated traffic fines have begun to hit rule-breaking drivers hard. In Sivas, a driver who failed to comply with a police order to stop, entered oncoming traffic, and attempted to flee was pursued. The driver, identified as U.A., was apprehended after an examination of City Security Management System (KGYS) footage. He was fined 200 thousand TL for driving without a license, 200 thousand TL for failing to stop and fleeing, and 20 thousand TL for driving in the wrong direction. Additionally, the vehicle owner was fined 40 thousand TL for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the vehicle.
The total fine imposed amounted to 460 thousand TL. Furthermore, the vehicle was banned from traffic for 60 days.
